Oh look! Oh look!
At the rising Sun behind the clouds
And the coyly whispering brook,
At the moving branch with the wind
As I at a portrait look
Of a glowing amber hue in the East,
For the early bird it’s time to feast
And us too upon an entrancing scene –
Of vivacious clouds that dance
Dispelling the night’s sly trance,
And the wind’s first song
When man lived merry and long,
With the birds a hymn used to sing,
As they spread their opalescent wings
And broke into a joyous song
Of the leaves shining in the brook,
Their reflection green as they shook,
As the wind roused their sleeping guests
As if there were a banquet and a fest
And a table laid bare in jest,
Draped in gold and silver and bronze
Of nature’s will and a God’s conch,
Crying out loud for all to behold
A light shade of glowing azure
Across the entire world thus seen –
What paradise on Earth would have been.
A sweet poem with lovely color!
Thank you so much 🙂
