Faceless Love

Silhouette Photo of Woman Holding Lights

Your warmest smile inundates my shores,
Your voice a carapace for my fears,
Ebbing towards me from miles afar
Claims a sigh and a longing for more,
Perhaps aspects that we hold so dear
In the realm of this ephemeral art,
Where signals and cameras transmit woe
And noise is a deafening silence,
Where happiness counts its interest
And dividends go pending as vows.

Ageless pursuit of a love beloved,
Youthful exuberance the wind in my sail,
Your faceless voice a guiding light
Bridging reality to an incandescent dream,
Tangerine illustrations are an output
Of a yearning heart—my hopeful art
Of a life I pictured in repose, and pursued
With a mighty gait, a steadfast gaze,
To the sound of your fading silence—
In the recesses of my eroded shores,
I find you, the recipient of this faceless love.
